Hostel : Guidelines

1. The Principal is in-charge  of  the Boys' Hostel and The Vice-Principal is in-charge of the Girls' Hostel  and  You are always encouraged to meet the Principal and In-charge Vice- Principals regarding your Child’s welfare.

2. Hostelers  are  usually permitted to go home  ONLY  during HOLIDAYS/VACATION and prior intimation will be sent to you.

i)  Children are permitted to go with parents/guardians  and with others having written parental approval/consent only.

ii) Hostelers  should be accompanied by  parents/guardians  at the time of leaving/returning to the Hostel.

3.You can visit your children on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. You are requested to meet the Warden at the Hostel  Reception and must refrain from visiting the dormitories.

VISITING HOURS are between 03:00 P.M. and 05:00 P.M.

4. We  request you to update with the respective  wardens,  your mailing address, name of the local guardian and contact  telephone numbers for this academic year.

5. PHONE CALLS: Parents of the hostelers are requested to speak to the children as per the following timings:

04:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. : SATURDAYS
12:00 N.N. to 08:00 P.M. : SUNDAYS/HOLIDAYS

You  are advised not to make phone calls during the week  days as it disturbs the children during their study hours.

6. Progress reports of Formative Assessments and Summative Assessments   will  be  despatched to the  parents  from  the School  Office. Non-receipt of these report cards  should  be informed to the Principal/Warden/Asst.Warden promptly.

7. We request you to make it convenient to visit the School  as per the following schedule during Parent-Teachers Meet between 3:30 P.M. & 5:30 P.M. as per the schedule printed in the School Calendar.

8. STUDY HOURS: The study hours for the hostelers are  conducted every day in the morning from 5:30 7:00 A.M and in the evening  from  8:30 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. The study  hours  are monitored  by the teaching staff of the school  and  children are benefited by clarifying their doubts and individiual care is being taken by the staff/warden.

Tuitions  are arranged for the hostelers from 05:00  P.M.  to 08:00 P.M., MONDAY to FRIDAY and are conducted by the  school teachers.  The  Academic  performance of  the  hostelers  is reviewed  systematically  and necessary  remedial  steps  are taken in this matter.

9. We have FIRST AID and a full time qualified NURSE is avail able in the Hostel to attend to the Children and to deal with their  medical  needs  regularly. In case  of  prolonged  or serious illness the child will be admitted into the  hospital and  the parent will be informed immediately, to take  charge of the sick child.

10. Children  suffering  from any infection will be sent  to  the local  guardian and the same will be intimated to the  parent immediately.

11. EATABLES:  A  balanced  and nutritious diet  is  provided  in the  Hostel  and  you are advised not to  send  any  eatables from home.

12 You  are  strictly  instructed  not  to  give  money  to  the Children,  as  all the requirements are met  by  the  Warden/ Asst.Warden from the accountable deposit.

Your co-operation with the above guidelines will be  appreciated, and will certainly contribute towards efficient management of the Hostel facilities.
