02. SCHOOL TIMINGS: School timings are from 08:30 A.M. to 03:30 P.M. with 30 minutes Lunch break. All students should bring their LUNCH and a Napkin. No student will be permitted to go home during lunch break. Adequate rest time and activities are included for Kindergarten level students after lunch.

03. CONTINUOUS AND COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION (CCE): CBSE has introduced Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation with the objective of facilitating holistic learning. Scholastic and Co-Scholastic areas are evaluated and the details of CCE are printed in the School Diary.

Date sheet of CCE, list of Holidays and Co-curricular Activities are printed in the Academic Calendar which was issued to students on 11.04.2011 and New Admissions on 14.06.2011.

04. DAILY TEST: A Test period is included every day in the main subjects to make the students thorough on the textual content. The questions to be learnt in the specific portion will be informed in advance to the students.

05. MATHEMATICS: All Maths periods are followed by a Maths study period to review the concepts. Mental arithmetic is also included once every week to motivate and enhance the reasoning/analytical skills of the students.

06. SMART CLASS: The Smart class program with interactive teaching learning process, 3D Animations, Video clippings, simulated models enable a multisensory learning experience for the students. A unique assessment tool SAS makes instant formative assessment with a powerful hand – held remote device.

07. NEWSPAPER READING ACTIVITY: Newspaper reading bridges the gap between classroom learning and real world living, helps to foster global awareness, understanding of national issues, develops not only reading skills but also writing, grammar, vocabulary and speaking skills.

Newspaper reading activity is introduced once a week on every Wednesday w.e.f. 22.06.2011. Students can bring the Tuesday edition of "The Hindu" Newspaper with the `Young World edition. The paper can also be procured for Rs.2/- in the school on every Tuesday.

08. AMAZING FACTS: Interesting and amazing facts about Animals, plants, space, planets, human body, earth, food, Inventions and Engineering facts relating to bridges, buildings etc. are included in "Amazing facts" class once every week with related visuals in the SMART class.

09. CHARACTER EDUCATION: Character Education helps students to understand, care about and act upon core ethical values to be successful in all aspects of their lives. The six(6) pillars of character – TRUSTWORTHINESS, RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, FAIRNESS, CARING, and CITIZENSHIP are included in the Academic program.

10. ACADEMIC CO-ORDINATORS: Academic Micro Plan, correction work, floor discipline is monitored by the Academic Co-ordinators and the Administrative staff are as follows:

11. DISCIPLINE POLICY: Behaviour is one of the most important elements of the School system and if the behaviour is out of control then learning is not possible. Every teacher maintains a behaviour chart to make students aware of their actions and understand the consequences. Students learn responsibility and keep track of their own behaviour.

All students are expected to converse in English on the School campus.

12. SCHOOL SOUVENIR "INTO LIGHT-2011": School Souvenir "Into Light-2011" was issued to the students on 17.06.2011. New Admissions and other students who wish to obtain a copy can remit Rs.100/- to the Librarian Mr. K. Rameswara Rao.

13. MASS DRILL, GAMES, CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES (CCA): Mass Drill and Games are included in the P.T. periods. Co-curricular Activities will be conducted for std.IV to X by experienced Instructors and Craft work for std.I-III. The CCA activity opted once must be continued till the end of the Academic Year and no changes will be made on the activity selected by the students in the middle of the Academic Year.

14. FIRST-AID AND PANEL OF DOCTORS: FIRST-AID is administered by the School Nurse and in case of emergency the student will be sent to Hospital/clinic based on the nature of sickness. Please inform in writing to the School Nurse of any pre-existing Medical problem of the students.

15. HOSTEL FACILITIES: Hostel accommodation with modern amenities is available separately for boys and girls and if you need the facility an application should be submitted in the School office.

16. PURIFIED DRINKING WATER: OXYPLUS 500 LPH Reverse Osmosis based purification system provides purified drinking water to all the students.

17. SMS ALERTS: Examination remarks, Disciplinary remarks, Extra Curricular Activities, Absenteeism, Fee Due Reminders or any urgent information will be intimated through SMS Alerts. Kindly inform the School office in writing if there are any changes in your contact Mobile numbers.

18. SCHOOL FEE & TRANSPORT FEE: School fee/Transport fee should be paid on or before 25th of each Month/Term. Late fee is applied after the due date @ Rs.3/- per day. If the fee is not paid even at the end of the Term the student will not be permitted to School or avail Transport in the following Term.

19. PARENT TEACHER MEET: Parents/Guardians are encouraged to attend these meetings to discuss with the teacher about the student's progress.

TIME : 04:00 P.M. TO 05:00 P.M. The dates are printed in the Academic Calendar.

20. NEW ADMISSIONS: All the new admissions should come in Uniform with the prescribed set of Text books and Note books by 27.06.2011. Please note that non-submission of Transfer Certificate and Birth Certificate on/before 01.07.2011 may warrant cancellation of admission.

21. I.D. CARDS: ID cards will be issued to all students by July,2011 and they should wear the ID cards every day.

22. HOME VISITS: Teachers and Administrative staff plan to visit your homes during this Academic Year to appraise you of your child‟s progress. Accordingly you will be informed in advance of such visits.

23. HELPDESK: You may contact the Co-ordinator at the Helpdesk for any further information during the School office timings. If you wish to meet the Principal/ Vice-Principal, please note that the visiting hours are from 04:00 P.M. to 05:00 P.M. on all working days.
